I’m really excited to announce that I’m going to be doing a table loom weaving workshop in London next month! Come and join me and the lovely Sarah (@weaveweird on Instagram) for a one-day introduction to weaving at her cosy home studio in East Dulwich. Both Sarah and myself have got 10 years of weaving experience to share with you so between us we’ll have lots of tips and tricks to get you started on your weaving journey.
The main focus will be on getting you weaving your own fabrics, therefore, the looms will already be completely set up when you arrive. During the day we’ll be covering a whole range of things, including:
At the end of the day, you will have multiple woven samples to take away with you, as well as a weaving information pack that we’ve put together exclusively for workshop attendees.
This workshop is aimed at complete beginners so don’t worry if you’ve never done any weaving before! All materials and some light refreshments are included in the introductory price of £95. You can book your place HERE. Places are very limited so book early to avoid disappointment. If you have any questions, please do get in touch with me at weavingwitchcraft@gmail.com.
]]>As it was my first craft fair it took me a long time to work out how I wanted the layout of my stall to look. I found it difficult to think of an effective way of presenting my larger wall hangings as I had limited space. I opted for a peg board from Ikea to hang the smaller wall hangings on and then just laid out the larger ones on the table. I was happy with my stall but I think over time I’m going to try and think up some new ways to layout my work.
Here are some photos of my stall. Let me know if you can think of any ways I could display my work a bit better!
